At just 10 years old, Atharva Dinesh Agarwal from Pune faced a life-altering accident during a family vacation in Manali, which resulted in the loss of his right hand. Undeterred by this challenge, Atharva’s determination and love for sports led him to become a remarkable one-handed tennis player.

Currently 19 years old and pursuing his third year of Bachelor’s studies at Fergusson College, Atharva is a true inspiration to everyone who knows his story. Despite the hurdles he has faced, he fearlessly participates in tennis tournaments, showcasing his exceptional skills and unwavering spirit.

Reflecting on his journey, Atharva shares that he faced minor challenges, such as tying shoe laces and adapting his handwriting after switching from his dominant right hand to his left. However, when it comes to playing tennis, Atharva confidently proves that he faces no issues whatsoever, showcasing remarkable adaptability and skill with a single hand.
